Reliable Electric Motor, Inc. is a family owned and operated business. It was founded in 1935 by Ralph Langille who moved to Connecticut from Nova Scotia, Canada. The business is now run by his children, Gerald F. Langille and Claudine M. Langille.
Reliable specializes in Electric Motors - single phase and three phase: Pumps - pool, spa, heat circulators, condensate, sump, sewage, fuel and more; Generators and Gas Powered Equipment - lawnmowers, snowblowers, power washers and more; DC Motors - starters, alternators, treadmill and more; and Tools - drills, jackhammers, pipe vises, some appliances and more. We stock replacement parts and rewind motors when that is the best option. We pride ourselves on speedy, personal service. Our knowledgable technicians can, in most cases, match up hard-to-find O.E.M. (Original Equipment Manufactured) motors and parts. We can retrofit new motors and parts when the O.E.M. is unavailable or too expensive. You can call us with questions about installations or concerns and talk to real people, not machines. We offer free estimates on repairs for electric motors, pumps and electric tools. We charge a minimal evaluation fee for gas powered equipment.
